Position Summary The Future Labs at NYU Tandon is one of the premier startup incubator programs in New York City. Founded in 2009, it has graduated over 100 companies and created over $4B of economic impact for New York City and State. The Future Labs are seeking to fill the position of Associate Director of Incubation Programs to lead the development, recruitment, and support of our portfolio of companies. The Associate Director of Incubation Programs is responsible for coordinating the incubation activities of the Data and Digital Future Labs at Tandon. Key areas of responsibility include implementing a portfolio strategy by conducting external and internal research to identify various emerging technology trends, manage the Future Labs programs incl., but not limited to Catalyst and Next Round, oversee recruitment strategies, direct research into specific consumer and market place trends, and envision ways to expand the programmatic offerings of the Future Labs. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in business administration, management, marketing, finance, accounting, or a related field Preferred Education: Master's Degree or equivalent Masters degree desirable. Required Experience: 5 years overseeing an incubation program or accelerator program or work experience with startups, incubator/accelerator programs, venture capital, and/or technology development. Experience working in an academic/university environment. Ability to multitask and set priorities. Preferred Experience: Founder experience desirable. Experience in working with governments agencies helpful. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Evidence of strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multitask and attention to details Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and creative-thinking abilities Proven ability to recruit, lead, motivate, coach, develop, and retain top admin staff Exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: High-energy level and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Hands-on approach to service and business growth and diligent work ethic Highly polished presentation skills Familiarity with all stages of the venture development lifecycle, experience with software & hardware development Additional Information NYU aims to be among the greenest urban campuses in the country and carbon neutral by 2040.
