The Associate Director of Marketing reports to the Executive Director and is primarily responsible for all of the marketing and social media efforts for the Birthright Israel Excel program. They will also take an essential role in managing relationships relating to recruitment to position the Birthright Israel Excel Fellowship program as the best in class for leadership, summer internship, entrepreneurship and a life-long network of like-minded individuals engaged in Israel and Jewish community.
Essential Marketing FunctionsDevelop content and communications that reinforce key messages in relevant markets and find new ways to amplify the program messaging and branding;Develop marketing plans and strategies to boost recruitment of highly qualified applicants in relevant markets;Execute marketing programs, from creating a budget and through conception, execution and launch;Manage communications channels, including LinkedIn, social media accounts, blog, and newsletters;Maintain website content, working with branding team on new design and updating content as necessary;Manage all performance marketing including paid acquisition, conversion optimization, push and retargeting;Promote the Excel brand through PR and partnerships, digital media, and events;Coordinate efforts with cross-functional Birthright teams, partnerships and internal/external agencies;Show an understanding of ecosystems, user behaviors, and industry trends;Generate/design executive m management presentations and reports.
Essential Relationship ManagementCultivate, drive, and maintain relationships with university career centers and targeted organizations and clubs on campus to build strong student pipelines;Travel to campuses and conferences as required to strengthen relationships and represent the Excel program when needed;Collaborate with Recruitment Director to plan, and facilitate recruitment events on campus;Establish and track metrics to leverage partnerships to provide data insights and communication strategies related to recruitment.
Educational RequirementsBachelor's Degree
Skills and/or Experience Required3-5 years marketing experience required;Excellent business writing and communication skills;Social media expert;Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to embrace change;Confident communicator with a proven ability to collaborate effectively;Entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and a high sense of urgency;Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail;Team playerwilling to pitch in whenever necessary;Excellent computer skills; Knowledge of power point and advanced Excel is required;Knowledge of design programs a plus;Copywriting experience a plus;Knowledge and experience working with CRM systems;Tech savvy;Skilled at multi-tasking;Able to organize, prioritize and execute responsibilities in the face of conflicting priorities or unexpected situations;High level of discretion.
