Overview:
Monitors and maintains relationships and contracts with new and existing vendors for an assigned area of the Bank. Partners with business or support function management to ensure vendor service risk assessments are completed, and due diligence and ongoing monitoring requirements are fulfilled. Provides necessary analysis and reporting of vendor statuses to other team members.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and consistent information on assigned vendors within the vendor database.
  • Compile regular scorecard information to demonstrate vendor performance.
  • Generate vendor contact list reporting as needed.
  • Maintain monitoring tool for onboarding and monitoring of vendor litigations and complaints.
  • Create regular reports demonstrating gaps that exist for monitoring vendor relationships.
  • Remain current with vendor management regulatory requirements and changes as well as industry best practices that would potentially influence the Bank's vendor management program.
  • Update procedures supporting the vendor process as requested.
  • Maintain training log to ensure all team members are current on required trainings, and communicate progress to Training Department.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
This position partners with business line management to ensure vendor service risk assessments are completed, and that due diligence and ongoing monitoring requirements are fulfilled. The position works in conjunction with other Vendor team members under minimal supervision, seeking management's support for most complex situations.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

Education and Experience Required:
Associate's degree plus a minimum of 1 years' work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 3 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 years' work experience

Proven written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent spreadsheet, word processing, and database software

Attention to detail

Prior experience working independently and functioning as a member of a team

Proven quantitative skills
