The Corporate Communications team is a nimble team in Global Public Affairs that covers a broad scope of responsibilities, ranging from support for the CEOs public engagements to quarterly earnings, sponsorship and corporate social responsibility including our philanthropic and community development efforts. The nature of the work provides a dynamic environment where members of the team serve as company spokespeople to media and other external stakeholders. Within Citi, the team works with many internal partners, including senior leadership, and regularly coordinates closely with other members of the Global Public Affairs team across the world. We bring a client service attitude to our work at all times and always strive to be energetic and maintain a good sense of humor. This role reports to the Head of Social Media. Primary Responsibilities Lead the creation and execution of communications strategies for key initiatives with a blended corporate and consumer approach Work with executives in Global Branding and Sponsorships to create and deliver compelling messages that enhance the perception of Citi among key audiences Develop creative stories for trade and industry publications, own and manage proactive and crisis communications around sponsorships, and drive executive visibility Partner internally with Global Consumer Bank marketing and business leads to elevate and highlight interesting stories and insights using social media and other engaging channels Own and manage relationships with the media and relevant thought leaders, and cultivate partnerships with industry players Develop a range of communication materials including press releases, media statements and social media posts, and work with stakeholders internally and externally to develop and approve content Spearhead the development of new creative formats to deliver messaging and content that resonates with target audiences Monitor media trends and social media dialogue, analyze and make recommendations for action Use quantitative/qualitative insights to drive decisions, measure success and encourage positive change within the organization Help develop and support company-wide social media best practices Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field 7 years relevant work experience, within a global company or agency highly preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced corporate environment including experience working in a role with a robust digital or social media component Takes initiative, anticipates next steps and sets high standards in all he/she does Strong relationship management skills and experience working with stakeholders cross-functionally and globally Experience collaborating with marketing teams to activate multi-faceted campaigns Creative, thoughtful approach to work product and regularly brings forward new ideas Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, messaging apps, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios to support strategic communications Experience managing third-party agency relationships Superior writing skills Experience using Adobe Creative Suite a plus Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other team members when necessary and influence without direct authority Persuasive when presenting to larger groups or in regular meetings, both internally and externally Exceptional attention to detail Integrity, maturity, dependability and a positive professional attitude C14 Grade :All Job Level - All Job FunctionsAll Job Level - All Job Functions - US Time Type : Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
