Director Global Corporate Communications Waterford - MomentiveDescription: Position Summary: Position Summary: Reporting to the VP of Worldwide HR with a strong dotted line to the CEO, the Global Communications Leader will play an essential role in defining the messaging, media and appropriate audiences for the organizations global corporate strategy. This mature, dynamic and highly motivated professional will work seamlessly with the CEO, in many ways as his chief of staff taking the pulse of the organization and establishing and implementing a worldwide communication strategy, delivered through multiple channels. He/she will be adept at developing a communications calendar and creating a cadence and framework for these events that will deliver appropriate information to each segment of the employee population. In this extremely hands-on role our candidate of choice will be responsible for creating the agenda and content for the CEO to ensure consistent and effective delivery of information to all employees at company events including town hall and leadership meetings and for the Board of Directors. In addition to proactively coaching the CEO on message delivery and content, this individual will solicit input from various stakeholders at each site to ensure that site-specific topics are covered and are on point. Seen as a confidant and business partner to the executive team, it is mission critical that our candidate of choice brings value to every interaction with the leadership team and effectively acts as the eyes and ears of the organization, constantly assessing overall employee awareness and understanding of key initiatives and counseling leadership on how to improve the effectiveness of internal communications. The immediate success of this individual will be determined by his/her ability to quickly gain a strong understanding of current organizational culture and build a strong rapport with the executive team by establishing weekly touch points with top leaders to drive consistent communication from the top down. Crucial to their continued success will be the ability to actively create and drive a communications calendar and to participate in leadership discussions providing meaningful, fact-based commentary on how and when to deliver critical information to appropriate target audiences. He/she will proactively capture and create positive snapshot communications around company successes and initiatives, resulting in increased organizational engagement and positively influencing company culture and cohesiveness at all levels. Job Description: Responsibilities : Own employee communications globally. Promote and accelerate internal awareness of Momentive initiatives and management objectives by establishing consistent and frequent opportunities for the Top Leader team to communicate into the organization. Establish a proactive and productive communication cadence throughout the organization. Create CEO presentation decks and make recommendations on content and vehicles of delivery in advance of town hall meetings and senior leadership calls. Ensure consistent and accurate representation of corporate vision and strategy is portrayed at every touch point with the organization. When appropriate, travel to global sites with or in some cases in advance of CEO to ensure all local stakeholder issues are addressed. Coordinate and attend regular Senior Leadership Team meetings and report out succinct summaries and action items to participants. Construct and impose an organized agenda to drive concise conference calls. Proactively monitor and assess quality and effectiveness of internal messaging by obtaining meaningful feedback from personnel at all levels of the organization. Develop key metrics to quantitatively track and measure improvements in employee awareness regarding all corporate initiatives. Establish regular touch points with each member of the executive team to gather operational and financial status updates and consolidate input into clear and concise communication packages to present to the Board. Provide insight and incorporate best practices regarding new communication channels and technologies. Quickly assimilate into the business and gain an in depth understanding of Momentive products and organizational culture. Maintain an up to date awareness of new product development and positioning in the marketplace. As needed, act as a liaison for the external communications team and provide support for crisis management and drive community relations. Promote internal awareness of Momentive product applications and market penetration. Foster a sense of pride in the solutions we produce. Leverage an exceptional professional presence in providing direct and credible communication feedback to the executive team.
