Job Overview: Group Nine Media is looking for a strategic HR Business Partner based in our NYC office. This individual will be driving business strategy across several of our brands using tools such as proactive organizational and talent management, performance management, employee relations, and leadership coaching. This role will act as the day-to-day resource for employees and will partner closely with the growing HR team supporting our four brands. The HR Business Partner will lead by example in demonstrating our companys values - Care Deeply, Be Brave, Go First, Do Good, Stay Close and Win Together. Roles & Responsibilities: Collaborate with the HR Brand Team and Brand executives to design and deliver targeted solutions, including strategic workforce planning, change management and team building Ability to identify opportunities and partner with the business to drive incremental action Act as a respected and trustworthy resource to employees at every level of the company, while effectively addressing day-today issues including communication, management, performance, career development and respect in the workplace Partner with the VP, People in handling employee relations matters that arise with the highest professional standards, providing counseling and coaching to managers and employees; ensuring an expedited and effective resolution Be a trusted advisor and the primary point of contact for leadership - providing coaching, feedback and advice in a proactive and compassionate manner Acts as a strategic change agent to push and implement constant improvement across the business Qualifications: 4 years of HR generalist experience 2 years of strategic HR Business Partner experience Knowledge and practical application of HR disciplines including: employment and labor laws, employee relations, management & leadership development, performance management, organizational design and compensation philosophies Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and ever changing business environment Upbeat, highly collaborative and solution oriented Experience working in a union environment is a plus The perks We have amazing people.
