The NYC Mental Health Services Corps (MHSC) is a key initiative of Thrive NYC. The MHSC?s aim is to address gaps within the mental health and substance use services within NYC Health Hospitals, with a corps of 60 early career clinicians placed in various HH sites to enhance behavioral health service delivery through existing and innovative models of care. Hire in Rate ? Salary range is between hire-in and maximum rate. Job Description ? The MHSC Director will provide overall leadership for the MHSC program. The Director assesses, plans and evaluates programmatic oversight of behavioral health services to our HH sites delivered by MHSC trainees. ?The director will report up to the Central Office/Office of Behavioral Health Administrator(s) or his/her designee and with reporting responsibilities to the MHSC Steering Committee. The Director will have overall responsibility for: ??? ?Supervision of Qualitative, Data Analysis and Clinical Supervisors for the MHSC program;? ??? ?Direct Communication with the HH Central Office?s Behavioral Health Steering Committee regarding the MHSC program ??? ?Collaborative leadership of the MHSC program with the MHSC medical leadership (Medical Director) ??? ?Oversight of the development and revision of MHSC policies and procedures. ??? ?Collaborative supervision (with the MHSC Medical Director) of mental health and substance use disorder delivery of services;? ??? ?Oversight of the establishment of policies and procedures regarding MHSC programmatic services ??? ?Ensuring the program compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.? ??? ?Performs other projects or duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications ? 1. A Masters Degree in Public Administration, Public Health, Health Care Specialization, Social Work, Psychology or a related field; and, Six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in hospital or regulatory agency administration, with particular emphasis on development and evaluation of mental health delivery services, or, 2. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience. Department Preferences ? ?? ? Strong administrative and organizational skills. ??? ?Knowledge of clinical practices related to Behavioral Health and Hospital services. ??? ?Knowledge of standards of care and best practices. ??? ?Knowledge of hospital systems and community resources. ??? ?Knowledge of federal, state, local, HH standards, regulations, guidelines, policies and procedures. ??? ?Knowledge of Substance Use/Abuse: behaviors, interventions and resources. ??? ?Knowledge of HH policies and procedures regarding Human Resources and Labor Relations. ??? ?Knowledge of Joint Commission and CMS standards of care. ??? ?Knowledge of Mental Hygiene Law and Regulation. ??? ?Knowledge of DOHMH, OASAS, OMH and Joint Commission guidelines ??? ?Knowledge of Code 405 Title 18 How To Apply ?
