JOB OVERVIEW: The National Accounts Director is a remote based position that reports to VP of Sales. This role directs functions essential to successful Commercial product launch, as well as identifying, securing, and managing relationships with large, nationally-based clients. These include strategic identification, planning, and offering of new products to applicable client/prospect types, creating and/or managing national account relationships across multiple call points. This role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled within the sales organization and supported. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of market trends, product launch, market access, field sales, marketing, and other aspects of Commercial Operations. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive product-specific launch, from market intel, to commercial marketing & development, trials/soft launch, to full launch w/ attainment of pre-determined statistical indicators. Leads the development of National Accounts capabilities and ensures effective cross-functional resourcing; builds support for the National Accounts function across the Commercial Business Units. Manage Key Account relationships at senior executive level (C- suite or senior decision maker), across various client/prospect types. Expand relationships and build customer insights in order to identify new sales opportunities that will grow revenue, profitability and market share. Provide support and direction to Market Access & Contracts teams within Sales Operations regarding best practices, quality and approving proposals/agreements. Provide reports to various departments used for production, forecasting and accounting for monthly, quarterly and yearly planning across Launch and National Accounts. Monitor the accuracy and efficient distribution of these reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommend revisions to existing reports or assist in the development of new reporting tools as needed. Oversee all contracting activity within the account (if applicable), to include providing leadership and direction for all contract strategies, Request for Proposals (RFP) and locally negotiated agreements. Work with teams on deal modeling and financial approval process and negotiate and manage all contracts within accounts. JOB REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor's degree is required Project management Experienced, comfortable and effective at public speaking Strong organizational, time management and communication skills Ability to travel up to 70% of the time Sense of urgency and resourcefulness when needed and ability to meet challenging deadlines Ability to have critical conversations with clients across many levels (C-Level, Admin, clinician, etc.), Sr. Executives, managers, peers, trainees Able to assert own ideas and establish subsequent pull through Skilled at promoting team cooperation and commitment to team success Skilled at providing interactive, engaging education for various audiences Minimum of 7 years of experience in field sales, marketing, or other relevant commercial function required. Minimum of 3 years in leadership experience over a commercial sales team. Excellent analytic skills and demonstrated experience in analyzing and synthesizing data to make informed decisions using Excel and other tools. Must have contact management database experience (preferably SalesForce.com). Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operations levels. Experience demonstrating priority management, attention to detail and problem solving and solution implementation skills required.
