If you share their goal of approaching healthcare in a novel way, look no further - apply for your dream job now location: Pearl River, New York job type: Contract salary: $54.56 - 64.19 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors responsibilities: Job Responsibilities This position will partner with the VRD Chief of Staff in delivering commitments and driving the day-to-day business operations for the Office of the SVP and Head of Vaccine Research and Development, through the handling of multiple priorities, decision making processes, and information flow to ensure deadlines and obligations are met. S/He will contribute to the success of crucial VRD initiatives by providing consultancy on a varied portfolio of activities, leading operational excellence activities and fostering partnerships internally and externally. The individual will conduct key literature reviews and research for external presentations as well as draft scientific content for presentations under the direction of the Chief of Staff. - Conduct regular literature reviews in key scientific areas of interest - In collaboration with the VRD Chief of Staff, draft scientific presentations for internal and external audiences. - Partner with the VRD Chief of Staff to drive day-to-day operations for the VRD SVP and Head's key interactions, meetings, and presentations, in coordination with various other offices. - Serve as a thought partner and extension to the VRD Chief of Staff, ensuring careful prioritization and participation in critical activities. - Work proactively with VRD colleagues to ensure robust connectivity, planning and partnerships. - Provide advice and guidance to the VRD Chief of Staff pertaining to internal events by optimizing and focusing time on the highest priority areas and taking primary responsibility for overseeing/driving logistical aspects (e.g., offsites, site visits, site events etc.). - Create agendas, coordinate pre-read and presentation materials to ensure adequate content, and follow up on action items directly. - Partner with Communications to support planning and management of communications needs of VRD. - Identify opportunities and drive initiatives to build and improve colleague engagement and culture and work closely with Operations to effectively promote such activities. - Proactively bring forward ideas for process improvements and more efficient operations. - Provide logistical support to group events, VRD-LT meetings, team buildings, etc. qualifications: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Life Sciences field - 3-5 years of experience in the Biopharmaceutical industry - Demonstrated ability to conduct scientific literature reviews. - Demonstrated ability to draft scientific PowerPoint presentations. - Proven ability in managing day-to-day planning and operational activities. - Experienced in communicating and interacting with senior level stakeholders. - Experienced in managing multiple, competing tasks simultaneously; executing complex strategies. - Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, across multiple lines. - Demonstrated understanding of systems, structures, and implementing efficient processes. - Demonstrated expert collaboration and communication skills in a team environment, share knowledge, influence best-practices and coordinate workflow. - Demonstrated resourcefulness with proven ability to anticipate needs, prioritize responsibilities, manage multiple priorities with tight timelines, and take initiative with a minimal amount of supervision. - Strong project management and event management skills with demonstrated attention to detail. - Possess a high energy level, sense of urgency, creativity, decisiveness, ability to work hard and well under pressure. - Possess excellent communication skills with an ability to respond with professionalism in verbal and written communication with all levels of the organization.
