My client is one of the most well-establish alternative investment funds in the world. This position sits in the $3B Real Estate Private Equity fund within the fund, so you get the benefit of a large, stable shop and the benefit of a boutique environment where you're involved in structuring, analysis and strategy. All compliance is outsourced.

Key Responsibilities Assist the Tax group with their tax reporting responsibilities, including tax returns, K-1s, US and non-US tax reporting for a > $3 billion complex real estate, real estate credit and energy fund platform Review of tax allocations, partnership K-1s, federal and state fund level tax returns, property level returns, quarterly estimates, various other domestic and foreign tax related filings. Coordinate on tax-related items throughout various internal teams (accounting, operations, investor relations, legal, etc.) and external JV partners Perform tax research as needed to support tax positions to be taken on tax returns and on various real estate transactions Prepare ASC 740 memos Federal and state withholding analysis for domestic and foreign investors Oversee and manage the process of responding to various federal, state and local taxing authority notices/requests Prepare quarterly REIT Tests
Requirements 3-4 years of real estate tax experience from a Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting firm CPA or parts passed required
