Workday Financial Project Management Consultant Northeastern US (Higher Education) Our client, a higher education organization in the Northeastern US, is seeking an exceptional Workday Financials Project Manager for their Workday Finance Implementation. This role will have you join the PMO and serve as an advisor/advocate for the client as they implement Workday Financials. As Project Manager, you will be independent from the Implementation Partner able to ensure objectivity and delivery in the best interest of the client. This is a long-term project with an anticipated go live date of March 2021. Workday-Specific Project Management experience is required A Project Management Certification is preferred. Responsibilities include: Develops and documents the comprehensive project plan. Manages the project to this project plan including tasks, resources, milestones, deliverables, quality reviews, and status reporting. Monitors, maintains, and manages the project budget. Produces regular status reports for the Executive Sponsor and Steering Committee ensures clear and honest feedback about status, risks, issues, and areas that must be addressed to ensure a successful outcome for the project and the University. Monitors and manages project progress, resolves, issues, and mitigates risks where necessary. Escalates issues when senior management action is required. Maintains and manages the project Risk Log, Issue Log, and Decision Log. Manages the team members to achieve deliverables including university personnel, Vendor personnel, and other Third-Parties as necessary. Ensures that deliverables upon which the various work streams are dependent, are delivered on time, and meet the agreed function and quality specifications. Raises issues early. Recommends contingency actions if slippage occurs to plan. Compensation: The Hourly Rate for this role is OPEN and depends on the level of expertise you bring to the engagement. Engagement: 40 hours per week as needed by client; mostly onsite in Northeast. Some remote work possible. 18 month engagement.
