The position of Global Vice-President (VP) of Professional Services is responsible for leading the world-wide Professional Services organization at Information Builders in support of solution deployment services including (not limited to) project management, architecture/design, application development, implementation and managed services. Specifically, the individual must possess practical professional services leadership experience in building, leading and transforming the service delivery organization to meet the strategic needs of our customers in alignment with product strategy and direction, as well as work in collaboration with cross Lines of Business (LOB) e.g. Sales and Partner to leverage a world-wide partner ecosystem for scalable and repeatable service delivery. In summary, the individual will be responsible for all strategic, operational and financial aspects of the Professional Services LOB. Duties and Responsibilities: The Global VP of Professional Services will
  • Own all aspects of the Global Professional Services organization that is responsible for providing scoping, architecture, design, application development, solution implementation including configuration and customization, strategic consulting, and managed services for all Information Builders customers
  • Evolve the overall Professional Services go-to-market strategy to ensure alignment with product engineering, sales and marketing including (but not limited to) service catalogue, expert services model, deployment model, resource skills and certification paths
  • Drive organizational structure, management, and operations in relation to client success and key business and financial performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Responsible for Global Professional Services Profit and Loss (P&L) and related forecasting and pipeline management activities including (but not limited to) attainment of quota / revenue targets and net margins on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Evaluate and develop deployment methods and procedures to ensure scalable and repeatable service delivery within a quality assurance framework
  • Develop and implement methodologies and processes in collaboration with Sales LOB to ensure that deliverables are achieved on-time and within budget while maintaining customer satisfaction e.g. transactional and relational Net Promoter Score (NPS) metrics
  • Work in partnership with the Sales organization to drive field sales and business development efforts by conducting presentations and proposal
  • Work in partnership with Global Partner organization to identify, evaluate, and build a world-class network of service delivery partnerships to scale and expand Information Builders service delivery capabilities in the marketplace
  • Negotiate contracts with customer and/or service delivery partners to support of engagement success
  • Lead and manage multi-tiers of leadership (e.g. Directors, Managers, etc.) within the Professional Services organization
  • Define and execute enablement framework in support of Professional Services consultant certifications for core Information Builders platform solutions
  • Manage solution deployments in both on premise and SaaS models
  • Proactively monitor and provide technical consultation guidance in customer sales situations to internal Sales and/or Executive Management Teams.
  • Interface effectively with Sales, Product Management and Product Engineering in support of customer-related solution deployment strategy and problem resolution (when applicable)
  • Prepare and deliver formal presentations to customer prospects at various technical levels (i.e. CEO/CTO, Senior Vice-President and Vice-President) in support of articulating service delivery value proposition and partnership model
  • Serve as executive sponsor on strategic customer opportunities
  • Serve as evangelist for Information Builders service delivery model and success in the marketplace Job Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or closely related technical field)
    • Minimum 5 years of practical managerial experience in a technology services organization
    • Leading globally distributed team deemed an asset
    • Leading service delivery organizations in both on premise and SaaS solution deployment models
