Job Overview: The manager is responsible for weekly expense forecasting, meeting with Directors and peers to review and validate weekly forecast, manage monthly close process using MAS and Business Objects, managing and coordinating seasonal plan process; and interviewing, hiring, training, directing, managing, coaching, developing, coordinating, evaluating, and disciplining direct reports. Position reports to Director of Marketing Finance. Perform other duties as assigned. This position is based out of New York, NY. Essential Functions: Manage weekly ROF process and projections, run reports, solicit accurate projection of responsible areas and monthly financial closing to corporate. Manage month end financial closing process and update balance sheets Manage MAS/Onestream process for seasonal plan input and verification. Oversee the planning, analysis, control and communication process between business partners and management Oversee expenses for Branded Entertainment/Annual Events Perform store visual analysis, including monthly variance analysis, forecasting and planning Maintain and build new reports and spreadsheets Troubleshoot spreadsheet formulas and macros Knowledge and understanding of system processes Drive improvement in operating efficiency Liaise with Director, Sr. Director, senior management, and peers Ability to work with all levels of management Extremely Detail Oriented Possess a strong sense of urgency Ability to inspire others to action through influence and advice Managing one direct report: directing, managing, coaching, developing, coordinating, evaluating, disciplining, interviewing, hiring and training. Ad hoc reporting Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. Qualifications : Education/Experience: Bachelors Degree required. Finance/Accounting preferred. 3-5 years experience preferred. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: Must have excellent mathematical skills. Ability to apply concepts of profitability and statistical inference, algebra and geometry to practical situations. Ability to calculate interest, discounts, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions. Reasoning Ability: Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical Demands: This position involves extended periods of sitting and the extensive use of computer and the office equipment. May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Other Skills: Advanced Excel. Experience with writing Macros. Strong analytical abilities. Understanding of accounting principles and procedures. Familiarity with financial systems. Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
