Current Need We are seeking a Lab Account Manager to join our team. The territory is Western New York and Western and Central Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will reside within the territory. Position Description Account Manager (AM) primary area of focus & responsibility is new business development growth of the AMs assigned territory, to increase sales revenue & gross profit $s within their individual territory. Key emphasis is sales of laboratory products & services, capital equipment, and medical supply products where applicable. Products & services to be channeled through McKessons Hospital Lab division and McKessons distribution network. Focus on new product & services sales to community & critical access hospitals, reference laboratories, government agency laboratories, and level 4 laboratories. The territory for this position will cover New Hampshire and Maine. The ideal candidate will reside within the territory. Achieve Results: Meet or exceed sales revenue and GP$ targets for assigned territory through sales of certain products and services in the critical access & community hospital, and reference laboratory customer segments/markets Develop New Accounts: Develop and execute call plans and key account strategies to specifically add new accounts and sales revenue to their territory Penetration & Growth: Implement McKesson sales strategies, educate and convert the customer base and gain greater account penetration. Develop strategies with clients aimed at servicing and accelerating overall business processes to enhance growth Leverage: Work with key manufacture partners, GPO partners, and other McKesson resources to help increase sales for McKesson and collective organizations Proficiency: Master technical and industry knowledge in order to position McKesson's LAB value proposition to targeted customers. Perform field promotion work, demonstrate products/services, provide assistance in the best application of products/services and manage questions regarding products/services Minimum Requirements 2+ years laboratory product sales experience or equivalent laboratory medical technology experience Critical Skills Experience and understanding of selling in an acute care hospital departments and setting Strong knowledge of laboratory diagnostics and operations of hospital and reference laboratories Must be able to travel daily within assigned territory with several overnights weekly Ability to strategically build relationships with sales leadership, customers, vendors, and GPO partners. Ability to take ownership, influence others, and drive the sales process from inception to close Proven experience working in complex situations and negotiating with senior level decision makers High level of accountability and a go to resource for both internal and external customers Must be performance driven with a proven track record of success from previous roles and ability to consistently achieve sales objectives Must have valid drivers license and clear driving record Must be flexible to travel between 80-100% within the territory Additional Knowledge & Skills Medical Technologist certification preferred Distribution experience Manufacture experience Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point proficiency Utilization of CRM & forecasting tools experience Education 4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent medical technology experience Certifications/Licensure Must keep Credentialing requirements current for hospital access Must be authorized to work in the US.
