I work directly with the hiring manager.

As a senior leader on the development team, this position oversees a core team of engineers to deliver best-in-class technology solutions in support of our business strategy and growth. The role manages complex technical projects from inception through implementation, is hands-on and technically strong, enthusiastic about backed systems and software architecture and can partner with senior leaders across the organization to communicate and influence effectively.

What you will do:

  • Deliver Results: Oversee the planning and delivery of complex engineering and development projects, ensuring well-designed and well-tested solutions are on time and within budget.
  • Subject-Matter Expert: Represent the engineering and end-user point-of-view during all lifecycles of solutions delivery, from scoping to execution and maintenance. Play a lead role in defining product vision, roadmaps, architectural design, feature enhancements and other strategic plans/objectives.
  • Team Player: Maintain productive and influential working relationships with internal partners within the department as well as cross-functionally (project managers, product development, etc ). Interact with clients directly as needed. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on status and risks.
  • Hands-On: Produce clean code, test work and support the team with a hands-on approach in other ways as needed. Core services via a Restful and JSON APIs are currently used on the backend, APIs and web-apps via Ruby on Rails, and Javascript/React is used to deliver on the front-end.
  • Perform other duties as needed.


  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or other STEM field required (may be substituted for equivalent work experience)
  • 12+ years experience in software development required, with 8+ years in a leadership capacity inclusive of client-facing and project management responsibilities.
  • Advanced in the following languages / tools: Ruby on Rails, Javascript/React, automated build tools (like Jenkins, TeamCity, etc )
  • Knowledge of Elixir would be welcome (not required)
  • Proficient / Knowledgeable in the following tools/languages preferred: Salesforce, Rspec/Minitest/Cucumber, Linux/Unix CLI, AWS, C/C++, HTML/CSS, source code control (git).
  • Experience delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment using SDLC methodologies, such as Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall.
  • Experience leading off-shore engineering teams.
  • Strong project management and project team leadership skills.
  • Ability to learn and apply new concepts and tools rapidly; has a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
