The role:

In this visible and exciting role, the Senior Analyst or Manager, Revenue Recognition, will be responsible for providing revenue recognition guidance to the Sales, Legal, Sales Operations and Pricing teams, and play a trusted advisor role for customer contract negotiations, contract review for revenue recognition compliance, and revenue recognition training for the Brasil and LATAM region. The role will also share responsibilities focused on support of SOX Compliance within the Revenue Recognition team. The position reports to a Senior Director, Revenue Recognition. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast paced and changing environment working across many different functions within the business and finance. The successful applicant must excel in managing and understanding a wide range of issues and business models that may be driven by acquisitions, revenue recognition requirements, and strategic shifts in go-to-market strategies.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with Sales, Sales Operations, Pricing, and Legal during contract negotiations (in English & Portuguese) and provide options and guidance in order to ensure proper revenue recognition
  • Review revenue related contracts for compliance with revenue recognition guidelines, ASC 606, and determine appropriate treatment
  • Maintain documentation for all review and compliance work completed
  • Lead training on revenue recognition rules, policies and practices within the Company, and in particular within the Sales organization
  • Deliver the highest standard of departmental, cross departmental, and cross region customer service
  • Partner with regional leadership
  • Work with the Revenue Recognition team and respective business partners to develop and maintain SOX Compliance
  • Revenue reporting and analysis, as needed
  • Lead and assist with other special projects, as needed

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Must be Portuguese (Brasilian desired) speaker, fluent English, Spanish desirable.
  • 3 \" 5 + years combined Big 4 and/or Industry finance experience, with relevant revenue recognition experience a bonus
  • Project Management skills including planning, task assignment, status tracking and reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to articulate verbally and written, willingness to appropriately debate difficult issues; ability to think quickly and present to an audience
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness of regional business practices

Experience/Skills Desired:

  • CPA/CRC
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, fast growing company where adaptability is imperative
  • Ability to build relationships with new and existing executives across functions
  • Ability to quickly grasp company operations and business drivers
  • Experience in the hi-tech industry preferred
  • Strong MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills highly desirable
