Position Summary and Responsibilities

The Regional Sales Manager Eastern US and Europe, working under the direction of the Business Unit Manager, will be responsible for the cultivation of optical component and coating opportunities within the Analytical Instrument, Semiconductor Equipment, Medical Device, Laser Systems and Research markets. Targeting these markets and others that are appropriate, the Regional Sales Manager will have primary responsibility for establishing relationships that will result in sales of the Teledyne Acton Optics product line. In addition, the position requires a strong technical sales background promoting the optics and coating products to OEM accounts and engineers with the ability to demonstrate value-selling principals. A strong background in optical component manufacturing and optical coating technology is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Diligent lead and quote management
  • Execution of strategic sales plan for the territory
  • Relationship building resulting in profitable sales
  • Opportunities pipeline management to meet and exceed assigned regional quota
  • Trade show and technical conference attendance and support
  • Product demonstrations, customer training and installation support as required
  • Proficient in the use of company CRM database to better manage the region
  • Forecasting and sales reporting as required by management team
  • Grow the revenue on an annual basis
  • Qualifications

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely
  • High energy self-starter accustomed to being in the field
  • Assertive, outgoing sales personality with ability to close orders
  • Proven track record of time in territory planning
  • Documented achievements and demonstration of exceeding sales goals and quota
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to perform professional presentations as required
  • Travel up to 50% within region
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the optics industry working with key accounts and end users
  • Experience with optical components and a strong understanding of optical coatings preferred
  • BS degree required
