DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:
Welch Allyn seeks an experienced Requirements/Business Analyst to join our team in Skaneateles Falls, NY. This position will work closely with Product Management to understand the product roadmap and lead the implementation team to execute the product vision. This role will also have a technical focus and will collaborate frequently with the engineers in order to design a quality solution. This role will elicit, gather, and define requirements in order to deliver valuable software and products that meet the business needs. The Business Analyst is team-oriented, collaborative, and focused on delivering value. This person must be able to motivate others, instill accountability, and achieve results while learning and adapting quickly in a dynamic high performance work culture.
* Collaborate with Product Marketing, Cross Functional team, and other stakeholders to decompose large epic stories into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by members of the development team
* Clearly articulate feature requirements through an agile development process
* Effectively write user stories and acceptance criteria to express requirements to the development team
* Work with the agile team throughout the product development, testing, implementation phases to ensure requirements are clearly understood
* Support internal teams with specific questions, training and guidance during product deployment and ongoing training
* Collaborate with the team to meet project and/or product development objectives and deadlines
* Provide support to the team with backlog prioritization, feature sequencing and organization, user acceptance testing, and other tasks, as needed
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Fulfill the Requirements/Business Analyst role for Agile teams including:
* Backlog refinement and ranking
* Iteration and Release Planning
* Create User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and review completed stories
* Coordinate intra-team dependencies with other projects
* Focus on understanding the problem and being the domain expert to answer questions from the development team swiftly and decisively
* Bring strong creative, conceptual and problem-solving skills to translate ambiguous conceptual ideas (business needs and user goals) into concrete solutions
* Assess data from multiple sources (roadmap, voice of customer, user observations, stakeholders, tech constraints, UX research and market research) and synthesize it in order to develop solutions that meet customer needs and add value
* Proactively engage stakeholders and concisely present options and recommendations
QualificationsREQUIRED BACKGROUND:
* 4+ years' experience in a requirements/business analyst role within an Agile environment
* Bachelor's degree in a computer science or business discipline
* Solves problems with a positive attitude, teamwork, and innovation
* Impeccable organizational and time management skills
* Above average verbal and written communication skills
* Skilled at leading meetings, conflict resolution, and making presentations
* Strategic thinker, but can execute with great attention to detail
* Assess, prioritize and make trade-offs against business, technical and user constraints
* Must be able to work in the absence of complete information and remain able to make timely, high quality decisions
* Healthcare, medical devices, or clinical experience is strongly preferred
