Main Function:
Under the supervision of the Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst, provide 1:1 behavioral intervention services to children with special needs and provides support to their families. Responsibilities include: understanding and implementing individualized Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) based programs, data collection and completion of documentation of services.


Duties and Responsibilities:


1.Provision of services for participants
Assists the LBA in implementing behavioral programming in a 1:1 setting
With the LBA, instructs participants and family/significant others in home programs and protocols
Advises and consults with the family and other agency personnel
Participates with other health care and/or school personnel in participant care planning

2. Completes required documentation
Collects data on individualized ABA based program
Complete all program documentation in a timely manner and per Agency standards. Documentation includes but not limited to: service notes, behavioral data, program outcomes, etc
Completes incident report forms thoroughly and in a timely manner per Agency standards
Completes mileage sheets per Agency standards

3. Community and Teamwork
Work collaboratively with participants, families, program staff, co-workers and supervisor
Attend staff meetings and other meetings as directed by supervisor
Participates in in-service programs/training's and presents training's as assigned by supervisor
Completes a BCAB approved RBT course and maintains currents registration
Participate in Agency-wide events, advocacy, and/or community education.

4. Follows Agency standards and procedures
Provides person-centered, quality services
Demonstrates effective time management shills
Observes confidentiality and safeguards all participant related information
Obtains and demonstrates core competencies
Follows Agency standards and procedures
Maintains compliance with applicable rules and regulations

5. Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
High School diploma/GED required. Experience working with children with a disability preferred. Basic word processing and e-mail skills required. Position requires good verbal and written communication skills. RBT certification required.


Conditions of Employment:
Must have a valid NYS Drivers License in accordance with the Agency Vehicle and Driving policy and transportation necessary to meet program needs. Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Successful completion of required orientation and annual training. Must be able to demonstrate teamwork and professionalism. Must be able and willing to demonstrate direct care duties, including personal assistance, as need arises. Must participate and meet established requirements in a database check through the Division of Criminal Justice Services as defined by the State of New York, Office of People with Developmental Disabilities, Chapter 575 of the Laws of 2004. Must participate in successful database checks through the HHS Office of Inspector General, Excluded Parties List System, New York Office of Medicaid Inspector General and Specially Designated Nationals.
