As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Payroll & Cloud business group within Alight Solutions. This position supports Alights ongoing benefits administration within our Workday practice.

The Workday Benefits Analyst is responsible for backing up the benefits lead, researching issues, resolving tickets, and training/auditing the offshore team for their clients; including:

  • Being a key contact for Operations teams with regards to Technical Expertise / Health & Welfare administration expertise
  • Providing ongoing training to support the rollout of new processes, documentation relating to technical changes and new legislation
  • Identifying and researching issues/system defects (with/without guidance) and formulating resolutions/recommendations by analyzing fact patterns and applying/following SOPs and best practices
  • Helping to identify and implement ideas for improving the domain specific processes and methodologies
  • Building strong relationships with client teams, client representatives, internal Alight teams and third-party providers
  • Achieving team and individual targets (KPIs, SLAs, quality targets)
  • Contributing to the team as a whole, supporting the rest of the team based on their needs (a buddy to less experienced colleagues and supporting more senior colleagues)
  • Maintaining required technical knowledge and behavioral standards and expertise, especially all regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Primarily responsible for providing day-to-day semi-routine client support, including but not limited to complex processing, researching data issues and providing resolutions, conducting audits and edit cleanup, generating ad hoc reports, and testing and configuring systemProvides resolution in accordance with due dates and documents/maintains SOP documentation and processesEscalates issues/client noncompliance of processes/procedures as appropriateAdheres to internal and external audit requirements for specific clients
  • Job Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience with Health and Welfare Benefits administration is preferred
  • Knowledge of benefits business, including products and services, operations, and delivery
  • Experience with a benefits outsourcing system and application platform
  • Possesses strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and abilities
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks
  • Skilled at working within a Workflow Management Tool and related reports desired
  • Works with third-party providers (both Alight partners and client partners) to ensure seamless process delivery

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Education

  • Bachelors Degree (in a business context preferred) or equivalent work experience
