Plan, organize, manage and provide leadership and guidance to the Delivery of Programs, and Products team to maximize delivery effectiveness for the benefit of customers and shareholders through the development of programs, marketing campaigns, policies and procedures.
Establish, maintain and leverage high level relationships with outside parties who influence programs and service offerings. (PUC s, Legislature, DEEP, NGA, AGA, Dark Skies, etc.)
Develop, implement and administer agreements with vendors, contractors and trade allies as needed to support sales and delivery.
Implements a culture of continuous process improvement with team to continually adapt to internal and external stakeholders to maximize efficiency, cost effectiveness, and quality of service.
Lead change towards the Company targets and vision with appropriate management systems and measurements throughout the process.
Designs sales processes and supporting tools (CRM, account plans, etc.) to align sales activities across all Operating Companies. Develops appropriate tracking metrics and provides regular sales reports on the performance of the sales organization. Plans, coordinates, and executes major training initiatives for field sales representatives.
Lead the development and implementation of proactive & efficient natural gas system expansion and customer acquisition. Maintains an end-to-end sales process view to deliver exceptional customer service to natural gas prospects and customers.
Provide supervision, coaching, counseling and performance feedback to team members. Handle routine personnel issues. Contribute to establishing and maintaining a work environment that is customer-focused, recognizes achievement, rewards high performance, and promotes opportunity
Support and initiate training efforts to help strengthen employee s skills and knowledge to help advance their careers, strengthen the organization and contribute to Avangrid s goal attainment.
Define, measure and improve Customer satisfaction levels through product offerings.
Ensure that all activities and processes are in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, Avangrid's business code of conduct, Rules of Employment and all other pertinent company policies.
Develops and maintains a perspective on residential and Commercial & Industrial market dynamics (market size, growth, key trends, and competition) to achieve strategic, sales, growth, and budget objectives.
Collaborate with regulators, and other internal and external stakeholders to implement system changes to meet compliance initiatives and changing customer and market expectations. Support and advocate on behalf of the Company through testimony and discovery processes.
Preferred Qualifications (Certifications, Specific Types of Experience, Industry Experience, Desired Computer Skills, Etc.)
Experience working in a utility environment with exposure to rates, tariffs and gas and electric distribution systems.
Experience with Salesforce, SAP CRM, and/or other sales tracking systems.
Experience with Customer Service business processes
Experience with state regulatory processes
Experience directing or managing a large group of employees
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point applicationsCompetencies
Responsible for maximizing the value for customers, shareholders and other stakeholders by developing strategies, tools and techniques for program and product offerings and implementation . Position Avangrid as a leader and innovator in providing solutions that increase customer satisfaction, lower customer energy costs and reduce environmental impacts.
Provide direction and oversight of processes that enhance the development and delivery of Gas Growth, Outdoor Lighting, Water Heaters and other programs, products, ancillary services across all of the Avangrid operating companies. Directs and manages the day-to-day operation of the Programs and Products team including budgeting, regulatory approvals, program performance and metrics.
Provide leadership and guidance to the Delivery of Programs and Products team. Responsibilities include coordination of work efforts, accountability for performance targets for the group and supervision.
Collaborate with functional business groups to understand and define business requirements, identifying solutions and coordinating the implementation of the solution. Number of direct reports is approximately 4 with an overall team of nearly 50 FTE s.
Current programs include Gas Growth and Franchise Expansion, Water Heater Lease, and Outdoor Lighting (Private Area, Municipal Streetlighting, LED Conversions) with the potential to develop and offer additional offerings driven by customer demand and the appropriate regulatory approval.
Manage all aspects of regulatory compliance for Gas Expansion programs across all of the operating companies. Influence the regulatory process to improve the image of the operating companies with the various regulatory and policy agencies in each of the States
Responsible for an overall annual budget of $8-10M. Furthermore, gas sales activities and projects directly result in annual Capex investments exceeding $25M.
Effectively utilize cross functional relationships within Avangrid and external partners to advance projects to meet customer expectations and resolve issues impacting the effectiveness of the program portfolio.
Required Qualifications and Experience (Education, Years of or Specific Types of Experience, Required Computer Skills, Etc.)
Bachelor s Degree with a minimum of 10 years experience in Engineering, Customer Service, Sales, or Business required. MBA preferred.
Must have worked in a sales environment and had management responsibility to deliver sales of products either in mass, niche or technical environment, to a budget.
Must have experience delivering products, projects, or programs through developing meaningful relationships with strategically significant customers through client management and consultative sales approaches.
Must have demonstrated a technical aptitude that allowed understanding, development and growth of technologies, products, and programs that align to a customer needs.
