Job Responsibilities: 
  • Lays out and constructs all types and sizes of crates and boxes used in shipping.
  • Devises special supports, braces, boxes, etc., so that materials and complicated units are securely and safely prepared for shipping.
  • May determine unit contents of boxes by means of counting scales.
  • Checks, and makes list of contents.
  • Crates, wraps and packs materials and completed unit as required.
  • Bands, letters and/or stencils crates and boxes as required.
  • Tools & Equipment Used:
  • Simple carpenter’s hand tools, power equipment, and measuring instruments and marking devices.
  • Qualifications

    Education and Experience Required:
  • Three years related experience.
