Find your future with us.The F/A-18EF Electronic Warfare (EW) team is looking for an experienced electronic warfare system design engineer to lead Advanced EW trades studies, capability/kill chain analysis, modeling & simulation, and other collaborative advanced technology efforts in preparation for an Advanced EW development program for the F/A-18EF. The primary responsibilities for this position is to be the project lead that works closely with EW subject matter experts to develop and execute design trades studies, analyze capability improvements, build modeling and simulation frameworks, and work technology collaboration across Boeing programs and organizations. This position will also be the primary interface to plan, review, and brief these activities to Customer and Boeing technical and leadership representatives. In addition, this position will interact directly with EW subsystem providers to work detailed design, analysis, models, and capability assessments.Position Responsibilities:Develop requirements, studies, designs, and analyze EW performance including EW subsystem performance, aircraft integration, and aircraft system level performance.Plan and execute trade studies to make design decisions.Develop requirements, study, and design modeling and simulation analysis for capability assessment.Apply root-cause analysis of anomalies.Work across a disparate functions, programs, and organizations; from production programs, and research and development programs.Execute basic project management skills such as cost and schedule management and critical handoffs.Develop technical and programmatic presentations that supports Boeing, supplier, and customer interactions in a well thought out, coherent manner.The F/A-18EF Electronic Warfare (EW) team is looking for a Project Lead Engineer to lead the F/A-18 Kuwait EW Development Program. This effort consists primarily of an ALR-67 Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) development program; and the development and integration of Government Furnished EW equipment with emphasis on the ALQ-214 Self-Protect Jammer. Both of which need to fully integrate into the F/A-18 Kuwait aircraft and software suite. The responsibility spans hardware & software design, qualification test, lab test, flight test, implementation of program management best practices, earned value management, supplier management, and associated Boeing, customer, and supplier coordination at all levels. In addition, this position will lead a team of engineers with a variety of experience levels. This project leader will guide the engineering team to execute the Kuwait EW program commitments along with career and personal development. The EW system is key for Kuwait and so this position has very high visibility to F/A-18 & NAVAIR customer leadership.Position Responsibilities:Leading a team performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, with electronic warfare focus.Provide technical direction to execute the Kuwait EW development, integration, and test project to fulfill contracted requirementsProvide supplier management and oversight, both Boeing and customer subcontractors.Apply Earned Value Management to manage cost, schedule, and risk of the program.Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.Mentor early career employees.This position requires an active Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):7+ years of industry experience working in an engineering related discipline7+ years of electronic warfare or related sensor experience.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience and understanding of proper Boeing/supplier conduct.Experience in program briefings of technical and program progress to all levels of Boeing, Supplier, and Customer leadership.Excellent communication skills and experience working across many disparate engineering disciplines.7+ years of project management experience.Familiarity with the F/A-18 aircraft.7+ years of avionics hardware & software design and development.Experience with AFSIM and/or flight sim models.Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
