Technical Recruiter (APG-19-1767-F):
Bowhead is looking for a Technical Recruiter with IT full-cycle recruiting experience to join our growing team in Belcamp, MD.
UIC Government Services/Bowheads S&T group provides IT support services to federal customers across the US, with an emphasis on the Department of Defense. We are seeking a dynamic technical recruiter who will partner with our program managers to find and recruit the best candidates for existing and potential contracts.
Responsibilities to include:
Manage full cycle recruiting process to meet the staffing goals.
Work with hiring managers to review requisitions to ensure that expectations are clearly understood.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent within a multi-site organization.
Create and implement strategies to attract passive job seekers i.e. flyers, ads, networking, postings.
Review candidates and send qualified to Hiring Managers (HM). Follow up as needed.
Assist HM with the interview process and conducting reference checks as requested.
Continuous communication with Hiring Managers (HM) regarding specific reqs, candidates, interviews and offers.
Develop strong relationships and partner with HMs, business leaders, and other support services groups i.e. proposals, HR and contracts.
Actively participate in all staffing related activities and engage in cross functional projects as required.
Comply with OFCCP requirements throughout the recruiting lifecycle.
Coordinate special efforts to assist with Affirmative Action goals.
Develop and execute a successful personal time management plan.
Bachelors Degree or relevant work experience (government contracting, IT management).
Technical knowledge in IT necessary to understand job requirements and screen candidates effectively to present qualified candidates for each opening.
Experience in full life-cycle recruitment of cleared or clearance-eligible candidates who will meet government security standards for clearances.
Expertise in conducting active sourcing, adapted to specific jobs and locationswe are looking for someone who will do more than post the position online and wait for applications.
Proficiency in an ATS (UltiPro preferred) and Microsoft Office programs
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: There are currently no Security Clearance requirements for this position; however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check. Due to the location of this work, US Citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
