About the Position

Do you have a unique ability to dazzle customers with your charismatic personality? Are you a positive and upbeat go-getter with sales and/or customer service experience who wants to help us grow our business? If so, we re looking for you! BuildingLink is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and entrepreneurial-spirited individual to join our Sales team. As BuildingLink s ambassador, you will prospect, generate new business, and grow accounts. Serving as the face of the company, you will establish and nurture long-term relationships with both new and existing customers, including property management companies, property managers, board directors, property owners, and other associated industry professionals.

You may be wondering how we re going to set you up for success. We ll match you up with the most senior and dynamic members of our Sales team to learn the ropes. Within the first couple of months, we ll also put you on a part-time rotation with our awesome Training & Customer Support team to further round-out your BuildingLink domain knowledge. All in all, you ll learn the ins and outs about our customers, platform, relationships with one another, and what makes us so great. We re looking for new BuildingLink-ers to work with us out of our NYC office as well as remote team members to serve our broader U.S. market.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Generating a pipeline of quality leads by visiting luxury residential properties, target account selling, outbound cold calling, and calling on marketing-generated and inbound leads.
  • Managing all incoming sales requests via phone and email with a high sense of urgency, care, and professionalism.
  • Explaining the generalities, functions, and benefits of our technology to eliminate common objections and expand our footprint in the market.
  • Supporting the Sales team with administrative tasks, including setting up meetings/demos with prospective customers, managing ad-hoc projects, and responding to customer emails.
  • Leveraging our CRM, sales tracking tools, sales metrics, summary reports and analytics to ensure progress is recorded & communicated with appropriate stakeholders.

Requirements

About You

  • Bachelor s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience with sales, and/or customer service.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership and initiative. We love those who are comfortable taking charge!
  • Ability to anticipate sales obstacles and overcome objections.
  • Self-driven, organized, dependable, and possessing a project management skillset.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Microsoft Excel).
  • Able to prioritize and re-prioritize competing initiatives based on shifting business needs.
  • B2B Sales experience within real estate or property management experience a MAJOR PLUS.
  • Willingness to travel as required (up to 40%).
  • If local to the NYC-area, you will work full-time out of our NYC office, located near Union Square. If you re outside of the NYC-area, we d love to have you join us remotely.
