About the Position

BuildingLink is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and customer success-driven Software Trainer & Customer Success Specialist to join our Training, Support, & Implementation team. As an educator, you will become one of our product domain experts and the face of the company. You ll lead comprehensive software trainings, and manage customer inquiries. Serving as a customer success specialist, you will nurture long-term relationships with both new and existing customers, including property management companies, property managers, board members, property owners, and other associated industry professionals. Your job will be to ensure that they consistently gain maximum value from their BuildingLink experience. Additionally, we offer ample opportunity to tackle exciting projects, support cross-department initiatives, and contribute to our awesome company culture.

Within the first couple of months, you ll work alongside our Customer Support team to build upon your BuildingLink domain knowledge. You ll also shadow senior members of our Training team and receive one-on-one training from our Coaching team. This is a full-time position where you ll work out of our NYC office. The role offers optional travel opportunities to conduct onsite trainings for properties both nationally and internationally.

Job responsibilities include:

Software Training (60% of Responsibilities)

  • Developing, preparing, and conducting software training for property managers, building staff, residents, and board members on our BuildingLink platform.
  • Educating end-users on best practices to ensure customers gain maximum value out of our BuildingLink platform and everything we have to offer.
  • Liaising across the Training, Support, & Implementation team to develop expert-level domain knowledge.
  • Working with the Coaching team to continuously improve upon the delivery, performance, and content of conducted trainings.
  • Maintaining detailed notes of all trainings in our CRM system, including feedback, observations, and recommendations to ensure progress is recorded & communicated with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Accompanying the Sales team with local, domestic, and international trade shows to promote brand awareness in the property management space.

Technical Support & Customer Success (40% of Responsibilities)

  • Taking ownership of customer issues and questions from inquiry to resolution.
  • Sharing insights and contributing to the development of new features, enhancements, and improvements to BuildingLink solutions.
  • Investigating and escalating complex technical bugs to our development team for investigation and updating customers on developments and fixes throughout the process.
  • Collaborating closely with various cross-functional teams (Development, Product Management, and Sales) to ensure all customer-related matters are handled in a timely manner.


About You

  • Bachelor s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-3 years proven experience with Customer Service, Customer Success, or Software Training.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to establish and build relationships, rapport, and trust with customers.
  • Preferred experience with FreshDesk and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word).
  • Comfortable presenting demonstrations in front of groups.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and keep calm under pressure.
  • Self-driven, organized, collaborative, dependable, and possessing a project management skillset.
  • Patient and comfortable engaging with diverse clientele with varying levels of computer skills and technical knowledge.
  • Fluency in French and Spanish is a major plus! We strongly encourage bilingual speakers of all languages with phenomenal communication and interpersonal skills to apply.
  • B2B experience within in a start-up environment helpful.
