SUNY Broome Community College is a comprehensive community college located in the scenic Southern Tier of New York, the college has approximately 10,000 students annually, and serves over 4,000 full-time and nearly 3,000 part-time students per semester in Liberal Arts, Business & Public Services, Health Sciences, and STEM, programs. An additional 10,000 students are served through the college's community education and non-credit programs. SUNY Broome Community College is currently seeking a full-time, temporary, Staff Associate for Video and Photography in the Marketing and Communications Department. The Staff Associate reports to the Executive Enrollment Management Officer (EEMO). This position assists the EEMO by coordinating and producing video and photographic media for use in advertising, recruiting, brand identity, digital design and social media projects; serves as the primary photographer and videographer for all campus communication enrollment and public relations initiatives, and assists in implementing other programs and services required to meet the responsibilities of the Enrollment Management division. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manages associated photography projects. Implements and executes video and photography projects ranging from large-scale annual video series to mobile device short-form video materials for social media use. Schedules and conducts video interviews and develops specialized video and photographic production elements for integrated marketing campaigns. Assists in the yearly planning and budgeting process and maintenance of appropriate spending levels each year. Develops and maintains campus brand and identity standards for video and photographic materials and related digital media projects. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills: Ability to manage video, photography and graphic media projects, develop graphical files and video materials, and produce content for high profile marketing campaigns. Capable of supervisory responsibilities. Computer literacy, in both hardware and software, of a depth appropriate to the specific job responsibilities undertaken. Specifically, industry standard video and photographic hardware and software. Knowledge of and ability to work with budgetary procedures. Knowledge of publicity and promotion practices. Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree in an appropriate discipline preferred. Two (2) years of work experience, preferably in professional video editing and digital media content development or a related field required. One (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience required. The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse college faculty, staff, and students. Salary range is $55,352 to $69,190 and offer will be based upon the candidate's qualifications.
