    The Sr. Utility Specialist is responsible to correctly perform and complete senior level utility assignments in compliance with construction, client, and industry standards and acts as a liaison between the organization and client(s). The Sr. Utility Specialist ensures all contract provisions are managed and applied appropriately per all applicable contractual obligations and is responsible for providing support associated with a variety of utility distribution projects.


  • Collect data for feeder hardening to include surveying existing poles, cable, cutouts, and grounding
  • Ensure proper installation according to overhead constructions standards
  • Interface with existing clients and assist with marketing of potential new utility clients
  • Closes out clients construction work orders utilizing the client's GIS, Sap and other electronic systems
  • Reviews existing system configuration and develops designs to accommodate client's desired system modifications
  • Collects real estate information to facilitate installation of utilities
  • Designs specific utility distribution projects according to client's standards
  • Other related duties, as assigned
  • Some travel is required

  • Associate's degree is required, Bachelor's degree is preferred

  • 10+ years of experience is required
  • Experience in management of overhead line crews
  • Extensive knowledge of overhead line construction
  • Understanding of GIS Small World, STORMS, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word is required
  • Experience with supervising emergency storm restoration contractors is required
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment
  • Must have valid US driver's license
