The Leader, Advanced HVACR Systems is responsible for leading and expanding the development of future and advanced heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration system technologies for Carrier's Residential, Commercial and Refrigeration businesses based on market trends, customer needs and regulatory constraints.

Responsibilities

Identify, develop, mature and demonstrate novel, evolutionary technologies spanning across multiple disciplines including thermal, aerodynamics, sensor, refrigerants, materials, and systems to meet business needs.

Lead development and deployment of Carrier strategy for refrigerants usage in HVACR systems that meets/exceeds domestic and global market needs and governmental regulations.

Lead development and deployment of Carrier strategy for safe use of LGWP refrigerants in HVACR applications that meet/exceed safety regulations.

Define and implement strategic multi-year roadmap for advanced HVACR technologies and ensure integration with BU roadmaps through close collaboration and coordination with BU engineering leads.

Successfully transition technologies at TRL 5-9 to BU product teams and assist in product passport planning.

Lead coordination with external partners in medium to high TRL technologies for product integration opportunities to help grow Carrier market .

Lead team to develop tools, techniques, labs and standard work for evaluating complex and advanced thermodynamic cycles, and refrigerants.

Demonstrated skills in leadership, teaming, technology scouting/maturation, communication and delivery.

Qualifications

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field

M.S. or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred

MBA or business experience preferred

15+ years of research or industry experience

Demonstrated ability to execute large global programs

Strong communication and ability to work in a large matrix environment
