The Land Moblie Radio Field Technician II supports the installation and servicing of two-way radio, various communication systems and other related products. They fully understands and complies with company policies and procedures.
Some responsibilities include:Act as a lead technician on large system installation/implementation projects, new product implementations, and supporting various other types of technologiesSupports Engineering and fulfillment in Codeplug development, radio and system programming, systems design, and other engineering tasksTroubleshoot and repair a variety of systems/products (two-way radios, repeaters, networked systems, mobile radio, mobile radio installations, emergency alert systems and a variety of customer solutions)Mentor and train less experienced techniciansInstall, repair, program, align, and maintain existing and future communications systems and equipmentAble to develop and present detailed technical and end-user trainingParticipate in special projects as requiredDocument customer information, details of work performed, hours worked, parts used, specific instructions from the customer and all other information as requiredParticipate in 24 hours on call customer maintenance contract programParticipate in after-hours service and installation work as neededComplete routine work tickets and warranty paperwork in a timely fashionMaintain a neat work area and accurate inventoryMaintain above average customer relationsParticipate in training for necessary technologiesAbility to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:High School Diploma plus or graduation from a certified vocational school with emphasis in the field of electronic systems. 8 years technical work experience in related responsibilities, with at least 4 years' experience in two-way radio/land mobile radio industryAbility to adhere to all safety rules and regulations as directed by CE, to include those of our customer job sitesSubject-matter expert on professional commercial radio systems and solutions (i.e., MOTOTRBO, IP Site Connect Operations, Linked/Capacity Plus Operations, Capacity Max Operations, WAVE Operations, Motorola/Vertex PCR product lines, and related technologies)Expert knowledge in the following work segments:Information Technology (certification preferred)RF networksRF theoryBasic electronicsUsage of test equipmentAbility to represent CE Core ValuesDiligent attention to safety requiredMust hold a valid driver's license and meet the clear/acceptable standards of CE's Company fleet policyRequires regularly lifting and/ or moving 50 pounds
