Job Description

We are looking for a Content Strategist & Producer to join our company to help us create and distribute content in omni-channel form. This person would work across our two brands of Produx Labs, our consulting arm, and Product Institute, our online video based school, producing content in multiple forms on best practices in product management and product leadership.

Youll get creative control over our content and content marketing strategies. Our brand is fun, but professional and educational. We believe that learning about Product Management shouldnt be boring. If you like memes and grumpy cat, this is the right place for you.

As a member of the team, the Content Strategist and Producer would:

  • Create a cadence for content delivery across all mediums, including blog posts, video courses, webinars, social media platforms, informational videos, podcasts, email marketing, newsletters, and any other creative means you deem fit.
  • Establish, manage, and deliver on content program goals; translate data-driven insights into editorial calendars and future creative ideas
  • Develop content by pairing with team members to understand the story they are trying to tell and how it can be leveraged into scalable content mediums.
  • Organize and lead a team of freelancers around video content production and graphical content for online courses, informational videos, and webinars
  • Write blog posts and social media posts for team members, as well as author on your own.
  • Manage all social media and content accounts to reach the right audience.
  • Launch new content strategies in whichever mediums fit our audience best.

This role oversees all areas of content, from blog posts to video content. We are looking for someone to own and execute around these areas. You will become an expert on Product Management and what resonates with our audiences, from executives at large enterprises to Product Managers working on software teams.

As a content strategist, you will report directly to the CEO, and interface with both our consultants at Produx Labs and our course creators at Product Institute.

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, possesses strong project management skills, an excellent storyteller, and wants to dive in and get their hands dirty. The candidate will be responsible for not only identifying areas for improvement in the current content strategy but also for driving outcomes that lead to improved business performance.

Required Skills:

  • 5 - 7 years of Content Strategy, Digital Marketing, and/or Copywriting experience
  • Experience defining content marketing strategy across multiple platforms including video, social media, email marketing, and blogs
  • Excellent storytelling skills
  • Data-driven with exposure to A/B testing and analytics consulting
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Up-to-date on emerging digital trends and timely content opportunities
  • A consummate communicator with excellent professional written/verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Technologically Savvy - proficient in MS Office, Google Suite, Squarespace, Medium, Twitter, Facebook Ads, Mailchimp

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience using Canva or Promo, or other DIY video and graphic editing platforms
  • Experience launching and running a podcast
