The Director of Development works closely with the following constituents in designing, implementing and managing a comprehensive, coordinated, and effective principal/planned/major gift program and the annual activities that serve as a pipeline for such gifts: President of the Crouse Health Foundation and President & CEO of Crouse Health Administrative/clinical leadership and physicians Foundation staff colleagues Foundation Trustees and Hospital Directors Committee members and other fundraising volunteers Professional advisors and agents of wealth Current and prospective donors, including grateful patients The definition of major gift will vary in terms of dollar amounts depending upon the circumstances under which fundraising activities are proceeding. In general, campaign gifts of $50,000-$249,999 and annual gifts of $10,000 will be considered major gifts. Principal gifts with be gifts of $250,000. This individual will personally manage a portfolio of 100-150 prospects across the four stages of the solicitation process: Identification, Cultivation, Solicitation and Stewardship. S/he will also be expected to serve as a resource to staff and volunteers/committee members who have been assigned personal solicitation responsibilities. In additon to resource development , this individual will be expected to be an active participant in donor services and the business /financial operations of the Foundation. Job Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts, communications, philanthropy or a related field. Must have a valid drivers license. Masters Degree in a related field. Five (5) years or more of individual principal/ planed/ major gift fundraising experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Previous leadership experience preferred. Prior experience in a health care related organization and CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) designation preferred.
