About the Assistant Manager, Visual Merchandising role:

e.l.f. Cosmetics is looking for a high energy individual with an eye for detail to join our Visual Merchandising team as an Assistant Manager, Visual Merchandising. This position is located in our Chelsea Market offices in New York City and reports to the Sr. Director, Visual Merchandising.


The Visual Merchandising Assistant Manager is responsible for particular accounts design and management of in-store fixtures, display units, and guidelines. S/he will support the team in the development of effective and innovative Visual Merchandising solutions and in-store elements to provide compelling customer experiences and maximize productivity. This role will develop and maintain a strong collaborative working relationship with the cross functional Creative, Marketing and Sales teams to ensure brand image and visual presentation is consistent and reflect the e.l.f. brand image, strategy and goals.


The successful candidate will bring at least three years worth of experience preferably in the beauty industry with a multi-channel approach. S/he will need to be self-starter who brings strong communication and influencing skills to the team along with the ability to work cross-functionally with teams both in person as well as over the phone. An eye for detail and a logical approach to work is also necessary in the person who gets this job. Finally, a passion for the beauty industry, and forward-thinking ideas are essential in this role.

Position Summary


The Visual Merchandising Assistant Manager is responsible for particular accounts design and management of in-store fixtures, display units, and guidelines. This role will collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to ensure in-store presentations reflect brand image, strategy and goals.


Responsibilities


  • Support the VM team in the design development of effective and innovative Visual Merchandising solutions and in-store elements to provide compelling customer experiences and maximize productivity
  • This includes (but is not limited to): supporting ideation, creating presentation renders, vendors management, and supporting final execution
  • Maintain and develop a strong collaborative working relationship with the cross functional Creative, Marketing and Sales teams to ensure brand image and visual presentation is consistent
  • Work closely with various departments to gain approval for all VM assets
  • Manage vendors day-to-day tasks including (but not limited to): creating and issuing fixture briefs / DTOs for vendor kick-offs; create and issue fixture orders, receive and review dielines, engineering drawings, materials samples, production samples, and final production fixtures
  • Review installation recaps with vendors and organize frequent store visits to provide detailed feedback on execution
  • Partner closely with PMs and strictly follows needs and deadlines


Requirements:


  • Degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Visual Merchandising or related field
  • 3+ years in similar roles, preferably in the beauty industry, with multi-channel approach
  • Effective verbal communication across all business levels
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across multiple teams
  • Strong self-starter and team player with high energy level and commitment to success
  • A methodical/logical approach to work with an emphasis on attention to detail
  • Demonstrates resilience, prioritize effectively and works well under pressure
  • Ability to travel to various retail stores throughout the U.S.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) & Adobe Suite
