Territory Manager (New Market)

Mission:

To manage all aspects of a territory (Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana) with the goal of continuous profitable growth of Scientific products via direct sales accounts and management of manufacturers reps as well as distributors.

Complete ownership of growth plans for Scientific products into the territory

Work closely with manufacturers reps and distributers to drive growth through them as well as house accounts

Coordinate with other Edwards divisions (Service, Industrial, Semi, CTI, etc) to grow Scientific sales as well as provide leads for the other divisions.

To show revenue growth of the entire territory at or above market pricing levels

Broad Activities:

- Complete ownership of all aspects of territory management and growth

- Grow sales through various channels (Reps, distributers, ecommerce)

- regular territory plan reviews with management demonstrating your continued growth plan

- regular travel through the entire territory to meet with customers and sales channel partners

Typical management responsibilities for Manufacturers reps

  • Travel with them to support sales where need of scientific products
  • Work to increase quote activity of Scientific product
  • Maintain and be able to present Reps major opportunities to management
  • Help to negotiate new agreements with new reps where needed
  • Maintain a good understanding of each reps territory performance
  • Drive continuous profitable growth for each rep
  • Work from home

    -Able to travel up to 80%, expected travel around 50%

    Skills:

    - Proven territory management skills

    - previous rep management

    - Techniques of promoting and selling capital equipment

    -Commercial acumen

    -Good presentation skills

    -Experience with SAP a plus

    -Excellent computer skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

    -Technical competency and familiarity with industrial equipment and technologies

    -Working knowledge of process controls, electrical standards

    -Analytical techniques and computer literacy

    -Strong written and verbal communication skills

    -Good administrative and personal disciplines to handle multi-task, time- constrained activities, driven

    by customer requirements

    -Strong presentation and negotiation skills

    Education:

    -A degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related discipline or a proven competency via job experience

    Experience:

    -At least 4 years experience with capital equipment or component sales into the process chemical

    industry

    -Knowledge of vacuum pumping systems or chemical processes or rotating machinery and their

    applications gained through at least 3 years experience of a similar role

    -Good administrative and personal disciplines to handle multi-task, time- constrained activities, driven

    by customer requirements

    -Self-starter and motivator with a committed approach to meeting the goals and requirements
