We are seeking a O&M technician responsible for the maintenance of our ground mounted solar projects in accordance with O&M agreement requirements and the O&M programs.
Responsibilities:
Conducting routine inspections of ground mounted solar projects.
Performing preventative maintenance using equipment suchthermographic cameras, multimeters, curve tracers, Solmetric, etc
Handling basic corrective repairs and maintenance.
Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
Diagnosing operation issues, troubleshooting and correct orrepair electrical or mechanical components.
Repairing PV components, equipment, or structures as necessary.
Other tasks as the following:
Perform the hot and cold testing and commissioning.
Ensure the maintenance program of vehicles and tools
Create or interpret the solar panel installation plans, mappingout the steps of the actions and report the services performed to themonitoring team
Attending training courses.
Assess the job site, identify and resolve any potential hazards,working safely and in compliance with OSHA and Company standards.
Ongoing alarm service ready availability. Prioritizing tasks andself-schedule but in coordination with management
Coordination with monitoring team, engineers and technical team.

Requirements/PreferredQualifications:
- 5+ years experience in the electrical industry
- 2+ years experienceas a maintenance technician in solar projects.
- Master Electrician or Journeyman
- NABCEP professional certificate is a plus
- Minimum OSHA 10 Certificate
- Formal training certificate or degree in electrical field
- Good knowledge of PV inverters.
- High school diploma orgeneral education degree (GED).
- Related degree from atechnical college.
- Must have a valid drivers license with clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to checkdrawings, manuals or catalogs as necessary.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
- Experience performing routine maintenance and reporting.
- Strong organizationaland follow up skills.
- Detail oriented
- Professional presentation and attitude.
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
- Strong time management skills.
- Software requirements: MS Office Word, Excel, monitoring software.
- Knowledge in use of monitoring platforms
- Must be able to work under weather extreme conditions or OT hours. Horary is subject to change depending in project needs.
- Proficient in use of computers or tables
Employment Conditions:
- Contract Category/Duration: Permanent Position
- Work Location: Central and Western NY (Eire, Chemung, Tioga, Sullivan, Tompkins,...)
- Willing to travel (NY State).
