Summary The position provides support to the Manager of Contract Administration and other contract administration team members in all Health Plan regions. The incumbent is responsible for reviewing and tracking requests received by the Contract Administration Team to ensure the requests are completed accurately and timely. Overall, the position serves as a key triage/liaison and facilitator of requests to support the goal of greater transparency for request status. The position also serves as the primary contact for internal departments on identified requests and compliance with administrative processes. Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities Supports Manager of Contract Administration and other Contract Administration team members by reviewing and tracking all requests received within the team and monitor activity of the inquiry to final completion. Coordinates tracking of legal reviews for the department that may result in significant financial, operational, or regulatory impact to the organization or participating providers. Ensures the highest quality and delivery of service to internal customers in accordance with departmental mission and goals; develop and maintain strong relationships with HCMN Division staff, including all levels of management, and in other Divisions to insure timely communication, improve operating procedures, and develop recommendations and responses. Works collaboratively with the relevant management teams when contract administration department needs to establish ownership for a specific request. Prevents/redirects inappropriate or incomplete requests to business area. Identifies bottlenecks and works to enhance workflow procedures between Contract Administration and other key areas to identify improvements in the request process from start to finish. Triages incoming requests and follows up with applicable business area for additional information if necessary. Ensures regular communication to Manager of Contract Administration on status of critical requests. Pulls needed historical information for Contract Administration Team. Ensures that any Health Plan contracts received are correct and complete, and submits to Contracting for Execution. Images and files executed contracts in network database. Maintains spreadsheet of active requests and provides weekly updates to the requestor as to the status and expected turn around. Serves as team RIM Custodian of corporate records. Minimum Qualifications Associates degree in Business Administration and minimum of three years Healthcare operational experience or related field required. In lieu of degree six years Healthcare operational experience or related field required. Assessment and problem identification skills. Human Relations and decision-making skills are critical. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to deal constructively with diverse groups and levels of individuals, whether internal or external customers. Strong PC skills. Must have ability to travel. Strong analytical ability and project management skills coupled with the ability to prioritize assignments, work independently, and handle confidential information with discretion is essential. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be capable of establishing effective working relationships with all levels of internal staff.
