Onward Search is seeking a Marketing Manager to work with our global tech client in New York, NY on a 9 month assignment. We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager, Acquisition to accelerate profitable growth across paid marketing channels, including search engines, retargeting, affiliates, social and content marketing. If you are experienced in current digital marketing best practices and can help us think strategically and analytically about new opportunities, then we would like to speak with you The ideal candidate is growth-oriented and data-driven with a proven track record of helping e-commerce sites increase traffic and sales, and a self-starter who can hit the ground running. You have a passion for measurement, testing, and building high performing digital media campaigns. You will create reporting and analysis to measure all aspects of marketing performance and costs, monitor campaign performance, and drive innovation in the channels, offers, and creative used by the team. The right person will thrive on developing new scalable programs while simultaneously optimizing existing campaigns. A deep understanding of social ad platforms and evolving trends is critical for success in this role. Also critical for success in this role is the ability to interpret data to diagnose areas of underperformance and identifying new opportunities for profitable growth. As the Digital Marketing Manager, Acquisition you will: (a) administer the paid marketing budget for a specific department, (b) design and execute the paid marketing strategy for said department with the purpose of generating both paid purchases and app registrations/activations, (c) drive growth through paid marketing channels and (d) monitor new marketing channel opportunities that could be applicable to our business. What you will do: Set and implement strategies to grow qualified, profitable external traffic to our products, maximize sales and revenue, and meet other business objectives through paid marketing strategies. Review, build and maintain paid marketing strategy in all channels (Google, Facebook, etc.), including segmentation and a/b testing. Develop and implement ways to improve channel performance, including landing page optimization, advanced bidding models and copy tests. Own the paid Social Media strategy for department including planning and executing Social Media campaigns for our social platforms (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) Leverage data to increase the productivity of our acquisition efforts. Work with the business intelligence team to build/refine acquisition models that maximize sales and campaign efficiency. Create and update weekly and monthly performance scorecards and reports that monitor campaigns and track traffic and conversion metrics to enable continuous improvement of our marketing efforts; including marketing caps calculation. Think strategically and analytically about new ways to introduce our products to new customers and increase relevance. Evaluate and champion ideas within the context of our current business model, while also looking for transformational opportunities that change our perceptions of our products and our markets. REQUIRED SKILLS Bachelor?s Degree required. 6 years of digital marketing experience with a track record of launching and scaling successful demand generation programs. Strong writing skills and excellent verbal communication skills Functional expertise in online paid marketing, including SEM, Social, and Display. Analytical mindset with demonstrated proficiency in marketing and web metrics. Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results. High attention to detail and project management skills, able to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication and cross-departmental management skills. A desire to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. Results-oriented problem-solver and team player. A high bar of excellence and the ability to take feedback and criticism without ego.
