Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in child development, education, recreation and/or related field. ? Relevant experience may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the education requirement. Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of increasingly responsible related work experience that has provided applicant with the listed knowledge and skills (i.e., work experience in assisting in the development, planning and coordination of preschool and school age child care programs, and work experience in supervising specialized child care programs). License: ? Valid California driver's license and valid, current First Aid and CPR. Certificates must be obtained with in the first six months of employment. ? Must obtain and hold a California Child Care Program Supervisor Permit within one year of hire.

APPLICATION PROCESS EXAMINATION This is a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. The examination may consist of a training and experience (supplemental responses) evaluation, written test, performance test and/or structured oral interview. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination. The resulting eligibility list will be used for up to six months to fill vacancies. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be six months. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill current and future vacancies. Date of Examination The date of the examination(s) will be announced at a later date. Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified via email, and/or telephone of the time, date and place of the examination(s). The Personnel Commission is seeking one qualified individual for a full-time management position in our Child Development Services department. The Supervisor of Child Development Services works under the supervision of the Director of Child Development Services, and assists in the development, planning and coordination of the District's preschool and/or school age child care programs. The Supervisor of Child Development Services will be assigned to supervise a specialized child-care programs such as the District's preschool or before/after-school childcare program. The District offers a comprehensive health benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and District paid life insurance for the employee, plus 24 days paid vacation, 12 days paid sick leave and 13 paid holidays per year. This 12-month position will work Monday-Friday, from 9:30AM to 6:00PM. Please note that incomplete applications will be screened out.
