Description Job Scope
The position will be responsible for identification and assessment of strategic business opportunities, and lead all activities related to evaluating and negotiating BD transactions.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct and coordinate opportunity assessment, financial justification, due diligence, transaction design, contract negotiation, and completion of the deals, including but not limited to biologics development and manufacturing, plasmid and virus development and manufacturing, and strategic partnership, out-licensing and co-development in assigned territories
Communicate and collaborate with commercial teams from the other business units within the group to provide and receive necessary supports to initiate, progress, and close deals
Attend conferences to collect market/ competitive intelligence, brand and raise awareness of Genscript and BDBU services, and create essential business networks
Build and maintain professional network with external companies and KOLs in biopharma industry, and follow up whenever deemed business sound and beneficial to create, manage, and close business opportunities
Participate in team meetings, and share weekly reports/ updates to US BDBU team
Help build and develop a high performing team by attracting, selecting, developing and retaining talented individuals
Requirements MS degree in life sciences discipline, PhD degree is preferred, MBA or advanced degree as a plus
Excellent language skill in English. Fluency in Chinese a plus
6-10 years strong track record of closing BD deals. US/ Canada experience preferred
Thorough understanding of biopharmaceutical industry and sensitive to new technology
Strong sales skills sets including but not limited to communication, deal-making, negotiation, and scientific, financial and business analysis
Exceptional awareness of the biopharmaceutical ecosystem and deal-making landscape
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a strong and collaborative team
Ability to work in the international and multicultural environment
Ability of work in a fast paced and challenging environment with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
