SUMMARY GQR is currently open to sales and/or business development candidates for our industry-leading financial services client offering a unique platform that combines objective wealth management advice with innovative technology. The organization is looking for motivated, creative, and proactive individuals interested in new business development and developing relationships with the firm's high-profile clients. Role Description: The successful candidate will join the deals team, working closely with M&A executives and wealth management clients. This role, formed from growth, sits within a close-knit, highly-collaborative team where the successful candidate will hold a highly-autonomous role with exceptional senior exposure. This candidate will need to be comfortable with cold calling, email campaigns, relationship management, and market research. Responsibilities: Continually develop and maintain a pipeline of potential acquisition targets through ongoing relationship management/business development activities Builds an understanding of differences between the client company and other strategic acquirers in the marketplace; calls on new prospects to create awareness of the client company's position in the marketplace Maintains timely, accurate and complete sales administration tasks as determined by the business Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape through ongoing review of industry publications and periodically published reports Supports Director of M&A team in efforts to create and improve business development processes and functions Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree in business or other related fields from an accredited college or university 2 years of work experience General understanding of financial services space; wealth management industry experience a plus Problem solving, negotiation and persuasive communication skills Effective written communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences Effective oral communication skills with the ability to address individuals and groups in formal and informal settings Compensation: Competitive Start Date: ASAP Length: Permanent Location: New York This is an exciting opportunity that allows for an energetic, driven professional early in their career to take on a role that provides mentorship and expedited growth opportunities while allowing plenty of room for your own style of innovation.
