Associate/Full Professor in African American Rhetoric/Literacies
The Department of Writing Studies, Rhetoric, and Composition at Syracuse University invites applications for an Associate or Full Professor in writing and rhetoric with a specialization in African American Rhetorics/Literacies with the following areas of secondary interest/specialization also welcome but not limited to: community writing, composition studies, digital writing, literacy studies, professional and technical writing, queer rhetorics.
The Department of Writing Studies, Rhetoric, and Composition is a freestanding academic unit at Syracuse, with a nationally recognized faculty and course offerings ranging from first-year writing to a Ph.D. in Composition and Cultural Rhetoric. Our department is also home to a growing major, a minor in Writing and Rhetoric, and a minor in Professional and Technical Writing. The successful candidate will share the College s commitment to diversity and inclusion and be prepared to join an active research faculty who teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
