The Health Insurance Editor will be an integral part of building one of the most comprehensive and authoritative content resources for millions of Americans looking to educate themselves around health insurance. You will directly manage a team of writers and work hand in hand with the SEO Manager to manage all editorial planning and execution. You will be asked to edit a variety of content in the areas of health insurance, health care, Medicare, and related areas. You will be expected to abide by all editorial best practices while helping our writers in achieving our company mission of helping consumers make better health care decisions. Essential Responsibilities: Oversee the SEO editorial content calendar to produce high quality informational articles and pages on an ambitious time schedule. Play a central role in hiring new writers for your team Managing the workflow for writers, coaching writers for improvements and meeting rigorous deadlines. Must proactively resolve any holdups or delays in the pipeline for content production Maintaining editorial standards and best practices among your writers Produce and edit content geared toward owning SEO around the topics of health care and health insurance Evaluate the work of copywriters, reporters, and guest writers, optimizing it for SEO best practices Optimize or update the content corpus for SEO and performance Ensure content generated reflects HealthCare.com?s voice and editorial standards Produce authoritative, research and data driven articles that build up our brand reputation Qualifications/Requirements: At least 2 years of experience managing teams of writers 2 years of experience working in the field of SEO content Familiarity with managing and/or creating SEO driven, evergreen content Familiarity and comfort with affiliate and performance marketing Knowledgeable with the health care system in the US and the health insurance industry You are high energy, and passionate about helping people make better health care decisions. You are comfortable working in a startup environment, where things change quickly You are detail oriented and have a high standard for editorial quality. Comfort collaborating with stakeholders from different departments Will have a proven track record of being able to balance both individuals? and team workflows and processes
