Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Interiors

A growing NYC general contractor specializing in Commercial Interiors is looking to add an experienced APM to their project management team. The successful candidate must be able to track sub-contractors while holding them accountable for their schedules, procure all materials needed, submit all submittals with weekly logs, perform basic takeoffs and liason with architects, designers, and owners to value engineer. RESONSIBILITIES Manage entire submittal process including; establishing all contract required submittals and assigning responsibility, assuring the timely submission of all documents, review of submittals for completeness, assure submittals are in accordance with contract requirements and maintain a submittal log Reviewing all RFI submissions from subcontractors, providing your Project Manager with contract and drawing info related to RFI, submitting RFI?s and maintaining the RFI log Attending andd recording accurate meeting minutes for all progress meetings and coordination meetings Create (2) week look ahead schedules, assist with project schedules, maintain a record of all drawings and as-built drawings and assist your Project Manager with any other tasks as needed SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Minimum 3 years? experience as an APM Advanced computer skills with MS Office Excellent communication and organizational skills
