RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a client, a healthcare startup (a fastest growing firm) in New York, NY is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with hands-on experience with Behavior Driven Development techniques (Gherkin). This is a remote position. Across all of our products, we leverage clinical best practices to ensure individuals are getting the care they need. Summary: Our Quality Engineers are dedicated to ensuring we get it right the first time by driving quality automation throughout our SDLC and participating as a peer engineer within our Lean-Agile product engineering group. Responsibilities include, defining test strategies, test planning and execution activities, test automation, reviewing product documentation, and ensuring overall product quality including usability, performance, and stability. Quality Engineers must be able to prioritize responsibilities and work with their Agile teammates to streamline, integrate, and continuously improve the effectiveness of our software quality lifecycle. Duties: Define test strategy, implement & execute automated test cases, and analyze test outputs to maximize product quality; Develop automation code using BDD, TDD techniques to test the end to end functionality of the application Perform all forms of product testing including test case creation and execution, exploratory testing, system integration, usability, regression and performance testing Catalog software defects and collaborate with peer engineers to ensure they are resolved and thoroughly retested Analyze test coverage for existing and new tests regularly, incorporate feedback from defects and escalations into regression suites Participate in release and iteration kickoffs, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, and other team meetings as necessary for the agile team Review and/or suggest improvements to product documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency during iterations and/or at release time REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Proven ability to communicate with all levels of the organization Proven track record of a detail-oriented problem solver Experience preparing Gherkin requirement documentation is preferred Understanding of CICD process and tools - Jenkins, Automation, GitLab Hands-on experience with Behavior Driven Development techniques (Gherkin) Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following testing technologies/toolsets/frameworks: Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, Cucumber, Mocha/Chai, Eclipse Technical knowledge of modern web & mobile infrastructure configurations and operations API testing experience preferred Proven ability to build and maintain strong, productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and timeliness in decision making Clinical/Healthcare product and technology background Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
