About the role:This role reports to the Head of Finance and is a key member of the FP&A team. The mission of our team is to guide strategic and tactical decision making among business leaders through rigorous, fact-based analysis, financial modeling, forecasting and interpreting business and financial results.You will:Forecast short-term and long-term business line and total company financial results – P&L, balance sheet, and cash flowsCreate annual plans and budgets and revise plans as necessary in response to changing trends and conditionsInterpret, package and present monthly close results to executives, focusing on key trends and variancesRegularly engage with business partners to understand risks and opportunities against plans and forecastsCreate department-level reporting to help track and manage spending and headcount decisionsYou have:Working knowledge of lending or financial services businesses and related financial statement structureExpertise in financial modeling, including the ability to highlight unit economics and identify levers for improving financial resultsDemonstrated accomplishments in planning, budgeting and variance reporting across several planning cyclesAn ability to collaborate constructively with, and influence, business partners and finance colleaguesWorking knowledge of accounting and planning applicationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent work experienceBonus points:Proficiency in SQL or equivalent querying languageAdvanced degree (MBA, Masters in Finance)We have:LendUp has all the things you’d expect from a mission-driven company, like a competitive salary; early-stage equity; 100% company-paid medical, dental and vision insurance; generous vacation/sick leave policy; catered, free lunch; kitchens fully stocked with healthy snacks; 401(k).
