To support our growing team, we are looking for a Senior Front-End/Full Stack Engineer to work with our team. You're the right fit if you're the best and there's not a problem you can't solve. We need an experienced engineer who is passionate about writing client side code.
We are a high-performing team of engineers, product managers, and designers working in an agile environment to build
modern web apps that power the digital products that make up the client-facing experiences of Northwestern Mutual.

Our stack is a modern micro service architecture running on AWS, utilizing node, react, graphQL, docker, kubernetes,
and a modern CI. We iterate quickly and all engineers are empowered to make technical decisions.
Work within an agile development environment to scope, develop and deliver
a software experience that is seen by all our customers.
Develop software using tools like Typescript, React, Redux, and styled-components
Mentor junior developers and make open-source contributions to our internal design system
Build pages and components with attention to detail that are accessible, have pixel-perfect accuracy, and seamless transitions
Write high quality code in an environment that is continuously integrated (CI) and shipped to production multiple times a week
Be a proponent for technical initiatives that improve reliability, performance, quality, and maintainability of the architecture
Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to scope, define, and prioritize the team's projects
Investigate potential technical solutions/tools and integrate them into our stack
Own features/projects, drive technical decisions, and develop leadership skills
You have more than 5 years of professional engineering experience
You are confident with writing code in modern javascript
You have experience with public cloud providers (preferably AWS)
You are passionate about building intuitive, accessible, and modern experiences
You have a track record of seeing things from conception all the way through to delivery
You are good at listening to others and communicating different perspectives
