Providence is calling a Manager Rehabilitation (0.9 FTE, DAY SHIFT) to Providence Benedictine Nursing Center in Mount Angel, OR.
We are seeking a Manager Rehabilitation who will plan, develop and direct quality, cost effective PT, OT, and Speech therapy services. Operate within the context of the PBNC priorities and industry trends. Serve as a regional management team member in evaluating, directing and promoting comprehensive services which demonstrate quality outcomes. Travel between facilities is a requirement of this position.
In this position you will :
Manage therapy staff which includes hiring, coaching, training, evaluating, disciplinary action and discharge as necessary. Provides PT, OT, Speech, and/or Audiology staffing for specialty programs and services, and maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet the demands for service delivery
Establish, monitor, and manage service budgets. Oversee the department budget and secures the necessary equipment and supplies for the provision of services. Prepare maintenance minor and capital equipment list for each fiscal year
Maintain current knowledge of accepted rehabilitation therapies theory and practice; and associated legal and ethical issues
Maintain current knowledge of State, Federal, credentialing and regulatory requirements
Plan, implement, and monitor multidisciplinary rehab department quality improvement processes and procedures to ensure appropriateness of service and high quality of care. Participate in quality improvement projects/continuous quality improvement studies as requested
Participate in the overall strategic planning process for regional Rehabilitation Services as requested
Recommend, develop, and implement new services/service opportunities to meet patient/client needs in a challenging health care environment. Review and establishes service policies and procedures as needed
Collaborate with other ministry departments to reach common goals. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the Medical staff demonstrating responsiveness to meet identified needs
Collaborate with the Regional Rehab Medical Director and Rehab Managers to implement effective service strategies and to plan service development
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitation field of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology
Current State of Oregon professional OT, PT, or Speech license
In Compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS) a criminal background check is required for this position
Valid drivers' license
8 years clinical work experience, which includes at least 3 years of progressively responsible leadership responsibility with human resource management, business management, and program development responsibilities
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Rehabilitation field of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology - or - Ph.D. in Rehabilitation field of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology
Membership in a related national/state/local professional association
