Our Company Riaz Capital is a fully integrated development, construction and property management company, focused on addressing the changing housing needs of the millennial generation. The Riaz Capital team includes over 95 talented real estate investment, construction, and operations professionals across its offices in San Francisco and Oakland. Our Principals have been successfully operating in the Bay Area since 1977. The Company currently owns and operates ~1,100 units, with $300 Million of assets under management (AUM). Riaz Capital has maintained consistent growth over the last 5+ years, and after the completion of three development projects currently in process, that number will increase to ~1,400 units with ~$400 Million AUM by end of 2019. Our latest projects are aimed at creating affordable and conveniently located housing for young professionals in the East Bay through ground-up development projects. The Bay Area's tremendous growth has resulted in skyrocketing housing costs forcing young professionals to make hard choices about privacy and savings to find a reasonable housing option to call home. On average, Bay Area millennials are spending 48% of their income on housing versus a national average of 25%. As a result, Riaz Capital has launched new projects that are “Affordable by Design” ABD, focused on helping this new ambitious middle class attain homes that are comfortable, cool and work with their financial goals. We raised a $35M fund in 2018, which we are pairing with a much larger fund (well over 9 Digits), to implement the ABD concept throughout the East Bay, with a goal of creating a fund with over $1B in assets under management by 2025. Artthaus Studios Assistant Property ManagerThe building now known as Artthaus Studios began its life in 1916 as the H.G. Prince Cannery. Built-in five stages over the span of 40 years, it is a testament to Oakland’s history of reinvention. Today, Artthaus Studios is the Bay Area’s premier creative space with offices, artist studios, maker spaces, and small businesses all together under one roof. Aimed at creating a diverse community of professionals, it offers over 90 suites catering to businesses ranging from design, film, marketing, publishing, to photography and beyond. The Assistant Property Manager plays a critical role in shaping the customer experiences of multiple audiences present in the building. She/he must equally balance service and support to Best Bay Apartments, Inc. / Riaz Capital as the anchor tenant, as well as the 80+ other member tenants at full occupancy. The Coordinator provides outstanding customer service, exhibits superior judgment in managing complex, rapidly changing situations, embodies Artthaus Studios’ stylish but professional brand, serves from the heart and works with the highest degree of personal integrity. As the public face of Artthaus Studios, Best Bay Apartments, and Riaz Capital, the Coordinator role is critical to the success of both the building and the company. Provide outstanding customer service for all audiences of Artthaus StudiosGreet and register all Artthaus Studios guests (including but not limited to member guests, leasing prospects, Best Bay Apartments guests, and Riaz Capital corporate guests)Answer “walk-up” member and guest questions or refer the inquirer to additional resourcesEnsure the Front Desk is always manned between the hours of 9am and 6pm on weekdays Building Operations:Ensure an exceptionally clean and professional appearance of all common spacesMaintain conference room functionality, inventory, appearance, setup / take-downSupport building operations and marketing inventory management through regular counts, recommendations for inventory adjustments, and systems management Maintain magazine subscriptions and ensure current issues are distributed in common areasTriage & troubleshoot member issues to ensure a cohesive community as neededPerform any other ad hoc operational tasks or duties as directedCommunity Management:Support community initiatives designed to develop connections between members, including member introductions, event support, email and print communications, and the likePerform any other community-oriented duties as requestedRiaz Capital / BBA Operations:Maintain conference room functionality, inventory, appearance, setup / take-downMaintain an exceptionally clean and professional appearance within BBA spaces Perform ad hoc BBA operations tasks as directed by Building Operations ManagerProvide administrative support to the BBA Property Management team (including but not limited to rent collection, leasing, maintenance) as directed by Building Operations Manager Riaz Capital is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.
