You will be responsible for creating and defining systems scope and objectives. You will use research and fact-finding to make suggestions about developing or altering applications or databases. Based in New York, New York, this is a full-time Programmer Analyst employment opportunity you do not want to miss. What you get to do every single day - Trains and assists end users and other partner groups for a particular application, system or process, on an ongoing basis - Creates and updates dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst - Create and evaluate programming changes for each systems development phase prior to implementation. Log test cases and expected results. Verify that results meet requirements. May plan basic tests or a defined subset of larger tests. May suggest acceptance/rejection when requirements are not met - Assesses processing systems. Builds improvement recommendations - Serves as the in-house guide for internal clients experiencing programming problems, consulting on applications, systems and/or processes for identifying and resolving, processing/reporting the issues. Consultation can include troubleshooting and/or education - Aids in creating communication materials for certain system changes being implemented in production - Reviews user requests for changes or improvements to systems. Records functional requirements and analyzes cost, feasibility and utility. Makes suggestions regarding how, when and whether to make the changes - Reviews and documents code problems, working with other programmers to correct them- Proficiency in PC and mainframe hardware/software - Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills - Previous experience as a project leader for the business portion of developmental applications or major systems improvements - Demonstrated success acting in a project management capacity - Demonstrated grasp of programming languages - C# experience preferred - Foundational knowledge in SQL Server Databases - Strong familiarity with ASP.NET - .NET experience desired - provided by Dice
