Job description
Russo Development, the premier builder, owner, and manager of prime commercial, data center, and mixed-use residential properties in northern New Jersey, is seeking a qualified, dynamic Project Architect to join our team at its Carlstadt, NJ corporate office.

Primary Job Responsibilities include:
- Coordination of projects with consultants from concept to construction documents.
- Provide construction administration, attend construction meetings and address issues in the field as they arise.
- Serve a vital supporting role to the team and report to an immediate supervisor and/or the SVP-Development

Secondary Job Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with design team members on conceptual designs of the buildings, including modeling, and assist in the preparation of conceptual design documents
- Assist with performing construction take-offs as needed
- Special projects as needed including but not limited to filing, scanning architectural archive drawings, and maintaining sample library

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) required from an accredited school.
- 5-7 years of experience in the preparation of SD/DD/CD documents for commercial, multi-family, and/or interior architecture; This position reports to architectural supervisor.
- Hands on knowledge of all aspects of AutoCAD 2018 (or newer) and related programs.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and SketchUp.
- Knowledge of Timberline or similar construction, real estate or project management software a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as a good portion of the job is coordinating and overseeing consultants as well as communicating design ideas to development team.
- Ability to work in a fast paced small office handling multiple ongoing projects in the design, production and construction phases.
- Team-oriented individual who is able to interact with other team members and outside consultants such as architect of record, structural engineer, MEP Engineer and interior designer on a daily basis.
- Ability to work independently as needed.
